Wrapped in Colors

I found myself snowed in this weekend. And as I write this it is still snowing. It has been more than 24 hours of continuous snow. With that being said I had a day of drawing while wrapped out in a blanket with coffee brewing and banana bread smelling up the home.
I drew an image that can be recognized using the zentangle technique. A peacock came to mind, basically because of their colors. I didn't want the traditional colors for mine.  Why would I? I am an artist.
Here are the stages...
It is drawn on 18"x24" white paper, using various color pens..

During the drawing I took breaks, but my hand was hurting and my dog needed to go outside.   Here are pictures of the outdoors...

I couldn't resist this photo to share, she was watching it snow and begging to go outside, as I was trying to resist going outside.

Happy dog!

  1. What a great way to add colour to a white day! We only had a few snowflakes here, but it turned my usually ten minute drive to school in the morning into a 45 minute one!
