Doodle Day

When I get bored and need to slow down my thinking, I will get out my paper and pens to start doodling.  It becomes relaxing amd before I know it I can have a calmer mind.

I can not say these zentangle doodles are completed. I always go back to them to add more patterns.

Next post I will show more on how to get started with zentangle patterns.

Color o color

Colors are important,  they tell a story without any words.

The paintings I am posting are in acrylic that show the color and shapes that I create. Canvas size is 30"x40".
The paintings were commissioned.  My friend said paint anything.  So I painted zentangle patterns. The patterns are from my imagination.  I played music and let the flow of music,  color and shapes guide me.
It took me about 5 months to complete.
Artists who are my inspiration are Picasso and Kandinsky. Their color shape and textures fascinate and motivate me to keep painting.

Creating Art

There are many artist and I am just one of the many who would like to share my art to those that love art.  I will show the art pieces I am currently creating, ones I have completed, and my inspirations.  I may even expand this blog to share creations with crafts and decorating.  After all, I am an artist, so if I get to create, I love to share.

I am currently working on a Zentangle using oil pastels.  It is a doodle with many layers of shapes and colors.  It's very relaxing and fun to create.  The doodle shapes are repeated, but without planning.  So every piece is a surprise at the end.
